The followings are the procedures of effluent treatment:
Effluent from different manufacturing industry

Primary Filtration

Cooling and Mixing

Neutralization (by acid or alkali)

Chemical Co-agulation

Settling and Separation of Sludge

Pressure Filtration

Discharge

Primary Filtration: Primary filtration is the first step of effluent treatment plant. It removes solid waste particles.

Cooling and mixing: Different types of effluent are mixed and cooled down with the assistance of motor.

Neutralization tank: Effluent is transferred to neutralization tanke for neutralization by pump. Acid or alkali is used to neutralize the effluent. A PH meter placed inside the neutralization tank can show PH value of effluent.

Co-agulant: Co-agulant is added with the effluent.

Settling Tank: Effluent is separated from water in settling tank.

Pressure Filter: A certain amount of pressure is created for filtration.

Discharge to Drain: the effluent having been purified can be discharge to environment directly.
