The first week in December, 2014 saw a rise in the marketing of Shaoxing Textile City. Orders increased while the total sales volume grew more than ever.
Last week, the rising stock market greatly stimulated the whole social environment. Many indirect influences on Textile City emerged during this period. Traders from both at home and abroad came to Shaoxing and purchased much more fabrics.
Last week, orders on knitted fabrics in the traditional market rose. Thick type knitted fabrics are in demand in the second half of 2014. Small orders also increased to some extent. In total, the sales volume continued to grow.
The knitted composite flannel fabrics, warp knitting sheared plush fabrics and brushed fabrics made by circular knitting machines saw substantial increases respectively on base of stable marketing. Interlock knitting fabrics, for example, double-sided brushed fabrics achieved repeat business with more orders and products quantity. Manufactures who have relatively more patterns and styles started to receive repeated orders. The success of this product also pushed the continually growth of filament fabrics.
Despite of some rises in sales volume of knitted fabrics in the fourth week of November, it is still inferior than that of last year. Decoration fabrics and apparel fabrics lead the growth. Knitted polyester filament fabrics account made great contribution to this situation.
In 2014, the growing rate of linen type polyester filament cloth is small yet persistent. This is mainly caused by improved quality of this kind of products. At present, the sales volume of low-end products is decreasing while that of upscale products is rising. This is a universal trend for markets.
