Dropped is commonly seen on edge of fabrics. Use stocking stitch can correct dropped stitch on edge. The process is quite simple. Use a crochet hook or small latch hook to snare the loop at the bottom of the ladder formed when the stitch runs. If the dropped stitch is close to the starting row or several inches, secure the dropped stitch from further running and continue knitting.
If the stitch count is critical for further shaping, make a stitch in the edge stitch to get the count to the correct number of stitches.
