According to the Vietnamese Ministry of Information Industry and Commerce, 5 May 2014 Vietnam exports about $ 58.5 billion, representing an increase of 15.4% over the same period in 2013 (about 7.8 billion U.S. dollars), import and export trade deficit of about $ 1.65 billion.
Funded enterprises which exports about $ 19.05 billion, up 11.9 percent over last year, foreign (except oil companies) exports of $ 39.5 billion, representing growth of 17%.
It is worth noting that the main export items of Vietnam has 12 projects in the value of exports were to grow about 1 billion, including phones and their accessories; textiles; footwear; computers, electronic products and components; machinery, equipment, tools and accessories; crude ; fisheries; timber and wood products; transport vehicles and spare parts; coffee; rice; handbags, purses, bags, hats, umbrellas.
The total amount of 43.23 billion U.S. dollars, accounting for approximately 73.9 percent of Vietnam’s total exports.
